THE CAT CAME BACK

Oh the cat came back the very next day

They thought he was a goner 
But the cat came back
he just couldn't stay away, away, away.

Old Mr Johnson had troubles all his own
He had an old cat that just wouldn't leave his home
He tried and tried to give the cat away
Gave it to a man going far, far away. But .. 

Gave it to a man going up in a balloon
Told him to take it to the man in the moon.
The balloon came down bout 40 miles away
What happened to that man well I just couldn't say.  But .. 

Gave it to a little boy for a dollar note
Told him to take it down the river in a boat
They tied the rope around his neck, it must have weighed a pound
Now they drag the river for the little boy who drowned.  But ... 

Gave it to some Boy Scouts to cool in a pot
They put him in the water when the water got hot.
The cat didn't make a very good stew
It killed all the Boy Scouts and their counselors, too. But .. 

Then to the Girl Scouts they gave the old cat
Told them to throw him down in the lat.
The latrine caved in, the girls are all gone
There was no one there but the odor lingered on.  But .. 

The A bomb fell the very next day
The H bomb fell not very far away
Russia went, China and the USA
The human race was ended without a chance to pray.  But ..
