Revision to Mission Report No.: 029-8423-94-8
Planetary designation: P70-236
Team: SGA-1
Mission Objective: Reconnaissance, retrieval
Commander: Lt. Cmdr. John Sheppard

MALP readings of the planetary surface showed a human-habitable surface, with no signs of habitation but a large degree of botantical diversity and the possibility of exploitable mineral resources. As a result, Lt. Lorne and a team of scientists were assigned on a basic survey mission.

When Lorne's team was late for their second check-in, late and unusually terse in their third, and missed their fourth, SGA-1 was dispatched to determine their status and institute retrieval procedures if neccessary.

On arrival, the planet matched expected paramaters. Warm, breathable air; a steady breeze; a general resemblance to Earth's temperate rainforest; a profusion of brightly-colored flowers marking the season as planetary equivalent to mid-spring.

I began to feel slightly uneasy almost upon arrival, but with no specific threat, was quickly diverted by Dr. McKay's observations regarding the planetary ecology...

Rodney sneezed. And then groaned.
